Counselling for Adults
Navigating the complexities of life can be challenging. There are times when we feel we are on top of our game, feeling positive, and coping with the challenges that come our way. There can be other times when we feel overwhelmed and struggling to manage what life is throwing at us. Struggle is a part of the human condition and we need the help and support of others to navigate through tough times. Family and friends are a vital part of our support network, but there are also times when the support of an un-biased, compassionate, trained professional is what is needed.
You may be concerned that your life is being negatively affected by family/relationship challenges, addiction, grief and loss, traumatic experiences or overwhelming emotions like anger, sadness, anxiety, guilt, or fear. If so, you are not alone. We’ve all been there.
In our work together, I will tailor my approach to where you’re at and what best fits your needs. My work is fundamentally trauma and attachment informed and I utilize various approaches which include:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Dialectical Behaviour therapy
- Compassion-Focused Therapy
- Emotionally Focused Therapy
- Solution-Focused Therapy
- Mindfulness-Based Therapy
- Somatic Experiencing
- Internal Family Systems
Do you find it difficult to talk about what is bothering you? Are you unsure where to start or what to say? I provide a safe, gentle, accepting, and non-judgemental space to help you explore the things that are challenging you and ultimately find solutions that will help you live a more peaceful and authentic life.
